Advice of the year: Make HIIT your new best friend. We’re all after those bikini-ready abs all year round and I can promise you that HIIT is the express route there. HIIT, which stands for High Intensity Interval Training, is a mix of short bursts of high intensity with high effort and intervals of lower intensity for recovery.
Good examples that you might be familiar with are the cross-training programs on ellipticals or treadmills that vary the intensity of the workout with changing speed and resistance intervals. If you aren’t into treadmills, the great thing about HIIT is that there are tons of ways to do it (and to be honest, the treadmills and cardio machines are the least effective way).
