New York Fashion Week is coming to a close and the fashion seen on both the runway & the streets was unbeatable. If there’s ever a time to trend-spot, it’s at NYFW and this year definitely didn’t disappoint. From statement patterns to bold colors, it’s impossible to ignore where fashion is heading. I’m super sad to have missed NYFW this time around. I was traveling Italy for almost all of fashion week, so I wasn’t able to be there, but I kept a close watch on all of the shows and amazing street style.
Below I’ve outlined the top 3 trends I spotted at NYFW, both from street style and on the runway and highlighted my favorite looks from the week. Be on the lookout for my upcoming post where you can get a jumpstart on shopping the trends for this Fall into next Spring/Summer.
Drop a comment if you think I missed something big! I’m excited to hear from all of you on your favorite looks and some trends you spotted that I might have missed!
This NYFW has me seeing red. This new “it" color is everywhere. I saw tons of red on the runway and on the streets, in everything from jackets to pants and footwear. There were lots of all-red looks on the street and on the runway, so be sure to stock up on red for this Fall and for next Spring.
Neutral plaids in shades of grey and tan were everywhere this NYFW. Designers from La Perla to Ralph Lauren sent multiple pieces down the runway, all in neutral plaids. A favorite for street style, this print was in tons of oversized blazer, styled over everything from dresses to basic tees. Expect to see this print all the way through to next Spring and Summer.
THE NEW POWER SUIT
The power suit was back in action this NYFW, but with a eye-catching update. Say goodbye to the dull grey and black pant suits! Colorful suits were seen both on the streets and on the runway, in tons of daring shades. Invest in at least one power suit for this Fall and next Spring in a fun color you might not normally try.
